Company Information


"DB Exclusive" invitations are specially designed to coordinate with our color palette and they cannot be found elsewhere. Exclusives may also mean that the style has been designed, manufactured, or sold only by David's Bridal.
David's Bridal has been making dreams come true for millions of brides for over 50 years. We have sold more wedding gowns than any other bridal store in the US. We have been offering Wedding Invitations online since 2003.

Invitations


Yes. We save every change to each item personalized for 30 days. See these items saved in your cart any time during the personalization process. Your invitations will remain in your Shopping Cart for 30 days. Please note that your Shopping Cart will only be accessible via the computer you used to create it, and will be cleared if you delete your browser cookies.
We offer endless ways to create the perfect invitations to match your special day. While browsing our invitations, look for the "More Colors Available" or refine using the choices under the invitation style you like or in the left navigation of the website pages. On the item detail page you can select and preview accent colors using the color boxes or drop-down menu, where you can also choose the quantity for your item. Click "Personalize" to create your unique invitations by choosing your wording (and don't worry, we can help!), font colors and styles, envelope liners, monograms or motifs and more.

Make your invitation and wedding stationery truly a one-of-a-kind by selecting any combination of ink and design colors including DB's exclusive colors. We offer invitations, inks, liners and ribbons in the exclusive David's Bridal color palette.

Modern printing methods create invitations that print the ink flat on the surface of the stationery. This technique enables an expanded range of unique and colorful designs. The digital nature of flat printing allows each component to be previewed and proofed online, then sent directly to the press using electronic files such as PDFs.
At any step of personalizing your invitation, click Zoom & Preview to see a sample of how your invitation will look. As you add or change copy, be sure to click "Update Preview" to update your invitation preview. Remember to check spelling and text alignment (left and right, as well as top to bottom). The Shopping Cart page offers a review of the information for each invitation component you've selected. If you want to change anything, simply click "Change" or "View" next to the item details. Please note that color representation may vary by individual computer monitors so if color matching is an important concern, we recommend ordering a sample prior to placing your order. If you have chosen a flat or digital invitation, you will be asked to Preview each component and approve the final proof before Checkout. Please review carefully and note that what you see on the final proof is exactly how it will print. It's a good idea to ask somebody you trust to double-check everything for you before placing your order (you can email the preview from your Shopping Cart). We recommend ordering an online proof that allows you to review and approve the actual color, copy and layout before we create your order. A charge of $15 per piece proofed will apply. This option is a great value, as a professional typesetter will make adjustments, if necessary, to the sizing, spacing and layout to better fit the invitation. The typesetter will also make any changes you request when possible.
PLEASE PROOF YOUR ITEMS CAREFULLY! Your order is in process as soon as it is placed and once your order is placed, any changes to your design(s) will result in additional reprinting cost. Be sure to verify your information, spelling, dates, times, inks and text layouts before you authorize any printing of your order. The computer monitor and/or printer you use to review your items may not be correctly color calibrated to produce an accurate color representation. Variations between what you preview and what you receive may occur as a result. If your invitation order uses DB Exclusive Color inks, those inks are certified to be an exact match to your David's Bridal dresses and fashion accessories.
As the name suggests, these cards have a variety of potential uses such as accommodation information, directions or transportation logistics. This card is especially helpful if your ceremony and reception are at different locations. Visit our Invitations Glossary for more details.
Some invitations will require some assembly on your part. An assembly guide is included with your order. You can also find ribbon tying videos and assembly guides on the Invitation Assembly page of this site. Please note most invitations with bows will be shipped with the ribbons flat. Rest assured the beautiful result of individually tied bows is worth the effort!
Assembly Services are another fabulous time-saver for the busy bride-to-be. We can tie bows and ribbons, hand fold cards and wraps, assemble pocket invitations, insert invitations and cards, and even seal the deal (envelopes that is). Simply contact Customer Service at 888-314-5639 or complete your order and add a note in the Special Instructions box (found in the shopping cart) "I would like my invitations assembled." Customer Service will contact you to arrange the details.

Addressing Services


Envelope Addressing Important Information:


  • Addressing Services are available for Inner envelopes and/or Outer envelopes during the personalization process.

  • Addresses and Names are printed in flat black ink.

  • Addressing prices are based upon the number of envelopes addressed. For example, envelopes are purchased in quantities of 25. If you provide only 20 names, you will receive 20 envelopes addressed and 5 envelopes blank.

  • Addressing Prices for envelopes: $1.00 per envelope. Final Pricing is shown in the personalization subtotal as well as in the shopping cart.

  • You may edit your guest list by returning to the Inner or outer envelope step in the personalization process and clicking on the 'edit' button. Be sure to save your changes before proceeding.

  • Download our Inner Sample Template or Outer Sample Template to populate with your guest list information. There is a maximum of 40 characters per line.

  • You may also upload your own excel (.xls) or comma delimited (.csv) file. The first row may contain column headings. If it does, be sure to check the 'This file has a header row.' checkbox. We recommend downloading and using our Sample files.

  • Each row represents one (1) envelope you are addressing. Guest and address information is entered left to right.

  • Addresses Services may not be available on certain envelopes.

Important Note: We are not responsible for any spelling or typing errors on your spreadsheet. Addresses will be printed exactly as typed. If revisions to the spreadsheet are necessary to create "post office ready" addresses, you will be informed and have the option of correcting and re-submitting, or asking us to make corrections for a fee of $65.00.



It's a good idea to start with the date your caterer needs the final count for your reception, then add a couple days to give yourself time to organize and confirm. As a general rule, ask for responses 2-3 weeks before the wedding date to allow ample planning and preparation time. Remember to print the mailing address on the Response Card or RSVP envelopes and include a stamp to make it easy for your guests.
Almost all wedding invitations require more than a standard postage stamp. This is due to the substantial weight of paper stock used to design quality stationery. In addition, the ensemble will likely include multiple enclosures and certain shapes (e.g. square) require additional postage. Take a sample invitation and all enclosures to the Post Office to determine the correct postage. And don't forget to budget for the postage stamp that is customarily included on the RSVP to make it easier for your guests to reply.
Your wedding is a special celebration and your guests should feel special too. To add a personal touch, invitation envelopes are typically addressed by hand (the exception is that the return address is printed on the envelope during the order process). If you do not plan to hire a calligrapher and there are too many invitations for a DIY project (or you're worried about your handwriting), invite a group of friends and make a fun night of it! You'll be amazed how quickly it will go when you have some extra hands to help.
Some modern invitation styles feature a single (outer) envelope only. The more traditional or formal wedding invitations include inner and outer envelopes. For these classic style invitations, we include plain inner envelopes free of charge. The addition of a colorful envelope lining creates an extra level of personalization and helps tie together your color theme. Check to see if your chosen design has the option to order color-coordinating inner envelopes (liners).
Yes! We'd be delighted to print your invitations in Hebrew. We offer translation services for traditional Hebrew script*. After you have selected your wedding invitation design, Personalize with all your event details in English. Don't forget to do the same for all your enclosures. Once all your pieces are completed and in the shopping cart, add your request for Hebrew translation in each item's Add Special Instructions using the   icon. All requests must be made in each item’s Special Instructions in order to be fulfilled. Proceed to check out and submit your order. A Customer Service representative will contact you with details regarding translation and proofing. Hebrew translation will incur additional costs, which will be determined after assessing the copy on the invitation order. Once you have approved the wording and cost, Invitations by David's Bridal will translate and print your invitations. Please note these costs will not appear on your original online order confirmation but will be provided to you in writing via an email from Customer Service.
Yes, Invitations by David's Bridal provides several verses in Spanish. These can be found on the Verse Options page during Personalization. Or, if you prefer, write your own verse in the invitation's verse fields. Or, our team members can add special characters or proof for proper Spanish grammar and diacritical marks before your order goes to print. Be sure to make a special note you've personalized your invitation in Spanish using each item's Add Special Instructions area using the   icon in the shopping cart.

Your satisfaction is VERY important to us. We will do our best to make your changes before your order is processed. Because of our fast turnaround time, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to intercept or change any order once it has reached our plant. We highly advise that you make sure your order is correct before placing it. If we are able to catch the order before we process it, there will be a $10.00 charge for each part of the order to make the change. Most invitation orders are printed, packaged and shipped within 2-3 business days. We have a few shipping methods available including Ground, Second-Day, Third-Day and Next-Day. If you order more than one invitation item, your entire order will ship together. If you are concerned that your order will not arrive in time for your wedding, please contact us before you place the order and we will work with you personally to arrange rush printing and delivery whenever possible.
Personalized items, including stationery, cannot be returned. If you have any doubts about the style, or would like to see the paper quality and color, we recommend ordering invitation samples. Before confirming your personalized order, please be sure to proof each component carefully. Of course we will replace your order if we made an error or if damage occurs during shipping. Absolutely! We encourage you to order a sample so you see and feel our high quality invitations before you purchase. Samples may be ordered from the item page or during the personalization process. You may order up to five (5) samples. Samples are sent USPS. To learn more click here.
All orders from Invitations by David's Bridal will be charged in US dollars. Check exchange rates between USD and CAD to determine your total cost.

Shipping


Yes, when your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email.
If your order is being shipped to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico you must select one of the air shipment methods; extra charges apply and the delivery commitment (e.g.: 2-3 days) may not apply. Please contact our Customer Service 1-888-314-5639 for more information on delivery commitment and extra charges.
We can ship to US APO and FPO addresses. All addresses with a Post Office box address (no street address) can be shipped only through the US Postal Service. These orders will ship Parcel Post.
At the present time we can ship invitations to addresses in the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as to APO and FPO addresses.

Canada orders with street addresses will be shipped via Ground or Expedited shipping. We do not ship C.O.D. to Canada. We do not ship to PO boxes in Canada. Customer is responsible for paying all GST, Duties or Taxes upon delivery. An additional surcharge will be applied to Expedited shipments to Canada to cover Custom Clearance charges. GST, Duties and Taxes are not included in the surcharge and are the responsibility of the customer. Your credit card provider will also charge the appropriate exchange rate.

United Kingdom orders with street addresses will be shipped via UPS Express Saver shipping. We do not ship C.O.D. to United Kingdom. We do not ship to PO boxes in United Kingdom. Custom Clearance charges, Duties, Taxes and additional fees are not included in the fees above and are the responsibility of the customer. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico: All orders with street addresses will be shipped UPS. An Additional $25.00 surcharge to the Second-Day or Overnight will be added to the charges listed above.
